Either southern-southern Florida or Hawaii ... every place else is too cold over winter

The next question would have to be..how do you full timers deal with the summer months?

Same as I did when I lived in Florida .... ceiling fans, air-conditioning, showers, the ocean ... and a pool if you have one. I think summers in Florida are worse ... at least along the Gulf side. Gulf waters get warmer than the Pacific so often there are cooling breezes here afternoon/evening.

Air-conditioning is not cheap .... and I could have used it for about 4 months this summer if I was here the whole time (I went inland for 2 months).

It does not get as hot here in Melaque as it did in Kentucky where 100º was not uncommon for a few days during the summer and a lot of days above 95º.

The Florida east coast is about equal to here in the summer. Hot and humid but with the ocean breezes that keep it tolerable. It does not seem to get to 95 here either. Of course it is colder in the winter there.

In both Kentucky, and Florida I used my central A/C about the same amount of the time. The same thing happens to me concerning swimming. The water is only good to swim in for about 5 months a year no matter where I live it seems. In upstate New York summer water at 62 was great, in Florida and here I would not think of going in that cold water. The water here got cold in October and I have not gone in since. Probably will warm up enough to go back in in late May.

I think it is something to do with getting acclimatized to the weather you live in. This morning it was a very cool 62' on my patio. If you go downtown early morning or late at night it not uncommon to see a lot of jackets worn by locals anytime the temperature is 70ish or below.
