Hey guys, I'm back in mzlo! I'm planning to dine at VIPS restaurant one of these days and wondering if anybody has eaten there before?

I'm mostly going there because of the discount cards the Vips waitress at Wally's was passing me. Since i'm gonna get a little discount...what the heck! I may as well discover what makes VIPS so special. I hear mix reviews from locals, but the turistas from Mexico City and other states seem to like it. And yes, I know it's a diner (which by the way I enjoy it quite a bit, Denny's, IHOP, etc.), and that too brings my curiosity, since i've never been to a Mexican diner.

Anyways, anybody that have been @ VIPS can tell me their review. That would be great if possible.

Thanks for this great message board guys! Keep it up!

Sorry, I haven't eaten at VIPS, but I saw a guy the other day loading a subaru with NY plates. Is that you or do you fly down?

nope, not me, i fly down.

ps. by local standards, the place is quite pricey. most of their menu item listed outside the diner is worth about 100-plus pesos. i think i get a better deal at el fogon. at least that restaurant is abit upscale when compared to a simplistic walmart diner like vips.

I am planning my breakfast this morning at either Tacos Chuy or Tacos Julio. I am pretty sure 2 of us with sodas will be about 55 pesos.
