On another forum that I seldom partisipate in there is a young guy who sold the family house in Seattle and now lives in the Patzcuaro area. I'm watching to see how long he lasts ... but is going on 2 years. His latest posts are about things the hippies were doing in the 60's and 70's ... and were well developed in the 80's. As I say below I hosted the HomePower network when the Public Internet was still mostly dial-up (late 80's). They have always had great articles altho too techie for most. Same era as Mother Earth News and Whole Earth publications.

Here are some of his links

Brian ... I know you are into the younger crowd but many who lived thru the 60's, 70's and 80's are quite interesting people. The 'lust for life' of the 20 and 30 somethings is something I can just smile at but it shouldn't separate us as much as it does.

I hosted the HomePower network in the late 80's when the internet was still mostly dialup and browsers were all text. Don't diss yer elders too easily
