The back road to Barra near the cemetery has some really deep puddles/lakes that should be avoided. There is a bypass but hard to find and better to avoid that road completely for awhile

OK. How much of the snakes are everywhere talk is true? I have seen one sea snake on the beach and a rattler in La Manzanilla. But that is it. I love snakes, but have a great respect for them. Is there a good spot to encounter them?

Just before we hit the puddles I saw a 1 meter snake run across the road. I only see about one a month, always on the highways and 1/2 are flat. A snake in the grass may be a clue but you'll never see them there. I have seen small sea snakes twice

You would think there would be more around the laguna, but I have never seen one there.
