Initial Fees for applying for FM3 the first time in 2008:

444p (fee for converting FMT to FM3)
1172p
FM3 Fee

Renewal: 1172p

Manzanillo Office - very easy. The immigration officer that processes the applications speaks excellent English, no interpreter required. The application form is in Spanish AND English, the form for physical description was in Spanish only.

Required documents:

Photocopy of each page of your passport
Copies of CFE and TelMex bills
Copy of lease or copy of property title, (FYI: Presta Nombre does not qualify for minimum income requirement reduction)
Copies of last 3 month bank statements (internet printouts are accepted)
4 photos FRONTAL, 4 photos SIDE VIEW - no jewelery (Earrings) or eye glasses (photos only required for initial application)

She did not ask for proof of residence! I guess my phone and CFE bills were sufficient. Susan was the person that presented her Presta Nombre trying to get the income requirement reduction and was told that they did not accept a Presta Nombre for the reduction, as she did not actually own the property. I actually brought the deed to our Lake Chapala property with me, just in case.... but as I said, she never asked.
