My gawd ...
a week's worth of revelry/frivolity/hilarity/insanity/stupidity/immorality/nauseaty/conviviality/joviality ...
did I cover it all?

Sounds fascinating ...
at the least.

"frivolity, insanity, stupidity, immorality, nauseaty sp?"

Harsh words, don't you think _jct2? :evil:

It always appears to be good, clean, old fashioned fun.

Harsh ???

Not at all ... good words ... just like the other words ... so many words might be used to paint a picture of a Carnaval anywhere.

Life is all of those words ... and much more. :D

Yes they are harsh. All words are just words bla bla bla. You can hide behind that old freedom of speech bit all you want.

I just found it a bit out of character based on your other posts and made a statement. I can clearly state without hesitation that your description of the beautiful people of Mexico at a time when they shine their brightest is very unfriendly, cruel and uncalled for. Just words.

Relax and take a calming breath ... here are some common synonyms for the words I used.

Frivolity = playfulness, perkiness, lightheartedness, merriment
Insanity = madness, lunacy
Stupidity = foolishness, foolhardiness, silliness
Immorality = dissolution, indulgence, extravagance
Nauseaty = just a made-up word; the morning after type

These synonyms are themselves just words.
Have you ever had the opportunity to view Gestalt drawings?
Do you enjoy the work of Salvador Dali or J.D. Salinger?

I certainly hope you can understand the offering of the original words.

"Relax and take a calming breath" haha. You need to get out of your chair and live a little.

I don't care about your synonyms. You said - "frivolity, insanity, stupidity, immorality, nauseaty"

Not nice no matter what you say. Plain and simple.

Why do you frequent a board about Mexico when you have such a low opinion of the beautiful people?

Quehaba ... please chill. I've been an active member on this forum since '05; and am the 10th person to have become a forum member behind Scott and a few others. I've posted nearly 300 times and visited the Barra - Melaque area a few times, so I know a little about the folks who live there. I grew up in SoCal, lived in San Diego and have traveled throughout México frequently. I made my last visit to the Córdoba area in the state of Veracruz just last May.

Having said all of that ... all of your ranting about my post using certain words appear to have offended only you, which is an unfortunate situation ... BUT ... if you insist on being argumentative ... then have at it, elsewhere.

My opinions regarding Méxicans can be easily found in the hundreds of posts here at Costalegre ... I suggest you search and read them. Again ... IF ... you need someone at whom you wish to anger ... please seek that in your own mirror.

Don't worry.....I am 'chill', but what does the number of times you have posted or when you joined have to do with anything? I joined very shortly after you and had been following this board since it's inception.

If you read back you will note my opinion of your comment was that it was out of character for you. That would indicate I have been reading your posts.

"if you insist on being argumentative". I made a simple comment based on my observations, which is still allowed here until the moderator decides to begin censoring. The argument began with your reply.

"all of your ranting about my post using certain words appear to have offended only you". Silence from others does not mean they have taken the same view of you or I.

The comments you made, were harsh, out of character and unnecessary. Just my opinion. That's allowed. Move on.
